For Pannenberg, the biblical God is the answer to the question of human existence. He is especially concemed to formulate a theology that encompasses a unity of faith and reason in an age "when anyone who tries to speak of God today can no longer count on being immediately understood at least, not if he has in mind the living God of the Bible as the reality which determines everything, as the creator of the world."
