<note>C. S. SONG is Associate Director of the Secretariat of the Faith and Order Commission, World Council of Churches, at Geneva. He graduated in Philosophy from National Taiwan University and received his B.D. from New College at the University of Edinburgh and his Ph.D. from Union Theological Seminary, New York. Before he joined the World Council of Churches, Dr. Song was the Principal of the Tainan Theological College, Taiwan, and also Professor of Systematic Theology. 1976-77 he served as Visiting Professor at Princeton Theological Seminary. His previous publications include Prelude to a New Era (in Chinese). The Church-Its Task and Responsibility (in Chinese), Asians and Blacks-Theological Challenges, Doing Theology Today (ed.), Christian Mission in Reconstruction-An Asian Analysis (Orbis), and Third-Eye Theology (Orbis). He has also written many ar ticles for periodicals such as Southeast Asia Journal of Theology.</note>
