Matured Christian parents should transfer a mature faith to maturing young people through an intimate relationship. To achieve this, the family-friendly church needs to disciple parents and equip families to be the centres of faith-formation.



Faith-formation is primarily the task of parents. This role cannot be passed on to others however well-trained the children worker or the youth ministry worker or the pastor might be. The daily participation of parents in the lives of their children in nurturing them spiritually is non-negotiable.
