If religious books are not widely circulated among the masses in this country. Ldo not know what is going to become of us as a nation. If truth be not diffused, error will be; if God and His Word are not known and received, the devil and his works will gain the ascen- dancy; if the evangelical volume does not reach every hamlet, the pages of a corrupt and licentious literature will; if the power of the Gospel is not felt throughout the length and breadth of the land. anarchy and misrule. degradation and misery, corruption and dark- ness. will reign without mitigation or end." THE SOVEREIGNTY OF GOD

Arthur W. Pink

In understandable language. Dr. Pink clarifies the sover- eignty of God in such areas as creation, administration. sal- vation, human will, human responsibility, and prayer. He an- swers questions that are unresolved in the minds of many Christians:

For whom did Christ die?

Has God's purpose been defeated?

Is the Holy Spirit trying to bring the world to Christ?

The last chapter highlights the value of believing the sover- eignty of God for the lives of Christians and concludes with the shout from Revelation 19:6. "Halleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth."

Arthur W. Pink held various pastorates in the United States and engaged in Bible conference work in the United States. Australia, and other countries. Later he moved to Scotland where he devoted his time to Bible study and published the fruits of his labors in the magazine Studies in the Scriptures
