Early Christianity as a Social Movement

Early Christianity as a Social Movement is a social scientific study of the first half century of Christianity, from its development after the lifetime of Jesus of Nazareth into the 80's of the first century C.E. The literary evidence, separated into five separate stages of the movement's history by means of source analyses of the early writings, is subjected to content analysis to depict early Christianity as a new religious movement. This movement is found to be largely unlike most of the modern new religious movements.
