<note>The Revd. C. L. Yeow seeks to show the close connection between church and theology. How the church acts and thinks affects theology, and theological thinking colours the shape and form of the church's witness and worship.

Attention is given to how theology is done in the face of emerging affluence in a developing country. The struggle for justice and human dignity in obedience to biblical injunction is undertaken by the church as it ministers to people in developing countries.

Charismatic fenewals taking place in many congregations are studied, calling for a responsible pastoral leadership to handle this exciting spiritual event to avoid fragmentation and other unpleasant developments.

Down to earth matters like the Great Marriage Debate, the controversial 1.Q. test, and people develop-ment are looked at from a biblical-theological perspective.

All these call for a curriculum in seminaries in S. E. Asia that will adequately educate women and men to minister to God's people in this part of the world.</note>
