Jones asserts in this book that churches that highlight their diversity can be dis-cipling communities. Persons can be transformed as they follow the call of Christ to become disciples. But churches must take discipleship seriously. Jones calls inclusive churches to die to themselves by moving beyond the lukewarm faith often caused by a tolerance that has become so casual that the church is unable to speak to itself or to the world about the rigorous claims of Jesus' discipleship.
