What were the beliefs of the early Christians? Are they applicable to us today? According to Luke (and this is a study of his "The Acts of the Apostles"), controversy erupted wherever Christianity established itself: the issues the apostles had to face were those of a pluralistic society, in many ways similar to ours today. The author defines what they believed, and produces an irreducible minimum that we must also believe today.
