Book's Detail
Romans: a digest of reformed comment

The author's commentary on Romans, published in 1969, was the first of ten on New Testament epistles. Before continuing with this widely appreciated series, he has here returned to his starting point, agreeing with Luther that, 'This epistle can never be read or considered too much or too well, and the more it is handled, the more delightful it becomes and the better it tastes'. The result is a new book, replacing and superseding his original commentary.

This provides a superb introduction to real Christianity. Geoffrey Wilson writes with clarity, and shows on every page the mature fruit of patient study and thought; he writes for every Christian, and is well-qualified to do so, having lived the Christian life in the work-a-day business world, before serving as minister of Birkby Baptist Church in Huddersfield, England. Throughout the centuries some of the richest Christian thought has gone into the exposition of Romans. This little book will provide the Church in all parts of the world with a reliable guide for personal study and informal discussion, as well as for teaching or preaching preparation.
