Claining that the traditional theological approach to charismatic endowment has often lacked an adequate exegetical foundation (Dr Schatzmann) has, with patience and skill, examined all the pertinent texts in Paul's writings as the solid foundation of his own presentation. He concludes that Christian existence is intrin-sically charismatic-as the sovereign Spirit of God endows every congregation with the grace-gifts necessary to enable it to function as the Body of Christ in the community
