Paul longed to visit the diverse congregations of the Roman church, and to share the good news with them. While he waited, he wrote this very pastoral, mission-focused letter. It survives today to; explain clearly the gospel and its transforming power; describe fully the Christian life; show the connection between the Old and New Testaments; teach us how to appreciate our differences and live as one; inspire us to catch Paul's vision for mission.
