Thirst For God

"As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God. Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me?"

The Psalmist cries out for "something more" in life, and so do we.

The Psalmist calls for a renewal of his spirit, and Sherwood E. Wirt calls us to get beyond the religious routine to God himself.

Here in the tradition of F. B. Meyer, Andrew Murray, and A. W. Tozer, the renowned Editor Emeritus of Decision magazine challenges the church and the people in the pew to shuffle neglected priorities, burst the bubble of smug indiffer-ence, and confront the malaise of spirit that besets both indi-viduals and society at the advent of the eighties.

A Thirst for God sparkles with insight and bristles with wit as it beckons us to enjoy the "something more" we are craving and points us to abundant life in the Spirit.

A Thirst for God himself.
