Psalm 51 has much to teach us about the grace of God, a concept all of us talk about, a concept we have heard preached about often enough, but a concept many of us have real little under-standing about. Andrew Murray in the preface to his book about God's grace, says:

The grace of God-a more glorious topic could not possibly be found. In that one word grace all that is wonderful and worthy of adoration in God and all that is glorious and desirable for man find their highest expression. The grace of God-what does it not include? The everlasting compas-sion that filled the heart of the Father until it at last over-flowed in the gift of His beloved Son; the unsearchable richness and fullness of the grace that is seen in the love and the redemption of His Son; the blessed gifts and oper-ations of the Spirit.
