Dr. McGee is best known as a radio broadcaster, having used the medium of radio since 1941. His current "Thru the Bible Ra-dio program is having a phenomenal reception and can be heard in every state in the Union and on n all six continents. Presently it is being translated into many other languages. He is currently broadcasting a 5-year study of the Bible, teaching book by book and chapter by chapter from Genesis to Revelation. Dr. McGee has a rich background of many years as pastor, teacher, lec-turer, and author. He is in wide de-mand as a Bible conference speaker. For about 20 years he was a visiting Bible lecturer at Dallas Theological Seminary and served for several years as head of the English Bible de partment of the Bible Institute of Los Angeles. He has pastored Presbyte rian churches in Decatur, Georgia; Nashville, Tennessee, Cleburne, Texas; and Pasadena, California; as well as the interdenominational Church of the Open Door in Los Angeles, California, from which he retired in 1970 after 21 years of ministry. As an author, Dr. McGee has produced a Bible study series, greatly appreciated because of his clarity of expression and sim-plicity of style. The edited series, which contains his radio mes-sages, covers every book of the Bible. In addition, he has published over a hundred sermons.
