<note>God's revelation in the Bible was given in specific terms that had specific cultural and linguistic forms. Although that has led to considerable interest in word studies, little work has been done on the phrase-formations of the Bible, the next level of meaning and complexity for the Bible student. The "Theological and Grammatical Phrasebook of the Bible" is unique in that it seeks to go beyond the usual lexicons and word studies to deal seriously with biblical phrases. It is a guide to the composition and meaning of Bible phrases by drawing from Scripture itself. As you compare phrase with phrase, patterns of usage and meaning will become evident. More than one hundred biblical phrases are carefully examined for cultural background, linguistic composition, usage, and meaning.</note>
