The Rev. Dr. John C. B. Webster, a diaconal worker of the Worldwide Ministries Division of the Presbyterian Church (USA), is the author of The Dalit Christians: A History and The Pastor to Dalits. The Rev. Dn. Deborah Premraj is serving as a Deacon in the Vedal Pastorate of the Madras Diocese, Church of South India. The Rev. Miss Ida Swamidoss was first a teacher and then for 30 years a Woman Worker in the villages of the Madras Diocese. She was ordained a Deacon in 1992 and a Presbyter in 1993; she now serves in the St. Barnabas & Trinity Pastorate in Madras and as Chaplain in the Government General Hospital, Madras. Rashilda Udayakumar is a professional social worker who has worked in a rural women's development project and a children's day care centre. She is now the Superintendent and Social Worker of a diocesan home for the aged in Madras. Deacon Chandra Yesuratnam has been a Diocesan Woman Worker, working among rural women and children for the past 40 years. She is currently doing pastoral work and serving as Chaplain in the Church of South India Hospital at Kancheepuram. |
