AN INTRODUCTION TO ANCIENT PHILOSOPHY This valuable introduction to the philosophy of the Greeks and the Romans is intended for those who have no previous knowledge of the subject. It ex- tends from the beginnings of Greek philosophy to St. Augustine with whom the medieval period be- gins. Particular attention is paid to the later period of Greek philosophy which culminates in the neo-Platonism of Plotinus, and to the relationship between Greek philosophy and the thought of the early Christian theologians.
