Gary W. Reece Substance abuse, whether alcohol or another chemical exacts a terrible toll on all those within its scope. Employers, family, friends, and the user are all victimized in concentric circles of direct and indirect abuse. STEPCARE addresses the core psychological components underlying addiction-low self-esteem, impaired interpersonal relationships, poor life coping skills, and life stresses. Teaching effective skills for living, STEPCARE targets these areas in people with addiction problems.
