Worldly Theology

In this book Dr Michalson maintains that "we live between the time of the theology which no longer makes sense to us and the time of a theology which has not yet clearly dawned." Throughout his writings Michalson was concerned with elucidating his concept of the new theology, a theology framed in purely historical terms which would speak to the question of man's existence in the modern world. He believed Christians should not be zealous to convert the world to Christ, that is, to belief in HIs person; rather, the evangelistic ambition should be to confirm and strengthen men in a responsible sonship which in some senses is theirs already. This book represents the final crystallization of his views and is a unique and distinctive contribution to contemporary theology.
