<title>A Griggs educational resource</title>
</titleInfo>
</relatedItem>
<note>In this newest addition to the Griggs Educational Resources series, Patricia Griggs shows church school teachers how to integrate Bible skills into the church school curriculum. Bible skills are important, Griggs maintains, because they remove barriers to the meaning of Scripture and allow children to explore and understand the Bible.

In the first part of the book, Griggs discusses factors to consider when giving Bibles to children. These factors include choosing an appropriate translation, meeting with parents, and planning a ceremony at which the Bibles are distributed. She then moves on to identify the various skills and abilities children learn at each grade level.

The last part of the book contains thirty-three easy-to-use puzzles, games, and worksheets that reinforce Bible skills. These activities can be used individually or in groups and can be adapted to appeal to children at different levels of learning. They may also serve as springboards for teachers who want to develop their own teaching aids.</note>
