William the Baptist is a concise and Scriptural case for infant baptism. The volume is uniquely effective through the author's approach to the subject in dialogue form. Since the first edition in 1877 as an official Southern Presbyterian publication, it has been reprinted frequently and demand for it persists today. When reissued by the committee on Chris- tian education of the Reformed Presbyterian Church Evan- gelical Synod, it was officially endorsed as "a widely ac- claimed and commended presentation of the Scriptural teach- ing on baptism.
