C. Brandon Rimmer has a Master of Divinity degree from Fuller Theological Seminary. His previous writ- ings include: In the Fullness of Time, The Needle's Eye, Portraits by John, and Mayhem and Mercy (his autobiography).

Bill Brown, a Bible student with a radio ministry in Southern California, put together a series of talks on the person and work of the Holy Spirit. These talks, in printed form, were distributed among young Christians across the nation. The supply could not keep up with the demand, so it was decided by Rimmer and Brown to put the material in book form.
