Raised immortal & resurrection immortality in the new testament

While many books have beli wm about the Gospel teaching regardine the resurrection of Jesus, Sever go on to consider resurrection (whether of Jesus or others) in the Epistles, and lewer still attempt to relate all this to the theme of immortality. In this book Murray J. Harris does just that, explor- ing not only the New Testament data on resur- rection and immortality as separate themes, but also, and more importantly, the relation between these two ideas in New Testament teaching.

Taking up the idea of resurrection first, Harris studies various aspects of the resurrection of Christ, the resurrection of believers, and the con- cept of "general resurrection." Next he discusses the immortality of God and of man in the New Testament and compares this with the Platonic view of immortality. Finally, he examines the relation between resurrection and immortality. analyzing the key New Testament passages, and concluding that these two ideas are inseparable and complementary.
