<note>Paul King Jewett has taught the basic courses in systematic theology at Fuller Theological Seminary since 1955, courses that have oriented many hundreds of students to the fundamental dogmatic loci and have given them a firm foundation for disciplined thinking about the faith. His own scholarly interests are as wide-ranging and inclusive as the field of theology itself. However, he has always emphasized the role of dogma in preserving as well as dispelling mystery, and has insisted on the churchly and practical application of theologyjas well as its theoretical niceties. Therefore, for this volume in his honor, essays on Christology seemed especially fitting. The essays, contributed by friends and colleagues, provide a useful and provocative sampling of issues in Christology:</note>
