Because the partly consciously produced historical forgetfulness of our day obscures both present and past and therefore time itself, the main purpose of this book is to remind the reader of all that really happened when Dietrich Bonhoeffer had to go it largely alone in his struggle against theological and political contemporaries and so-called national comrades.
