From Genesis to Revelation the Bible is centered on Jesus, yet it is often talked about as if its purpose is to be a guide for church growth, a happy marriage, or healthy self-esteem. Looking to God's Word for principles and insights regarding practical issues is appropriate, but even more, we must seek within its pages fresh revelations of God's unique Son, Jesus Christ. For if we gather only moralistic examples and lessons in civility from the Bible, how can we reveal to the world the won- der of our Savior?
