Eschatology in bible & theology

many profess to see eschatological rays searing the horizon. A wide variety of eschatological schemes and notions are being published and promoted both within and without the church. Sadly, much of it is out of touch with sound biblical scholarship and classical Christian theology.

This books presents a selection of the most current thinking on eschatology by evangelical biblical scholars. Most of the essays in this volume were presented at the Tyndale Fellowship Triennial Conference in 1997. They investigate the nature and significance of biblical eschatology within five main areas: biblical theology, Old Testament, New Testament, Christian doctrine and practical theology. Topics include personal eschatology, the destruction of the Jerusalem temple in A.D. 70, Pauline eschatology, the question of hell or

annihilation, and the relationship between missions and eschatology.
