Book's Detail
Eschatological rationality

Gerhard Sauter is one of the primary Protestant theologians in Europe today. Yet, as David C. Steinmetz points out in the foreword, Sauter is not as well known in the United States as his German colleagues Jürgen Moltmann and Wolfhart Pannenberg. Eschatological Rationality changes that situation.

In this anthology of essays, Sauter analyzes a number of important theological topics, including Christology, human experience, suffering, theological anthropology, the theology of Karl Barth, and Christian hope. He also covers the state of theology in Germany and offers incisive critiques on issues of concern to the ecumenical church.
