Demons in World Today

A lonely man attends a séance, seeking to communi- cate with the spirit of his deceased wife. A woman is anxious about the future, and her friend points her to the horoscope column in the daily paper. Schoolgirls join a witches' coven and practice hexes on class-

mates. W hat does all this have to do with demons? A great deal, since demons are all around us, waiting for unwary human beings to seek supernatural aid that is beyond or opposed to the loving plan of God. Dr

Merrill Unger gives us a thorough, sane, and biblical examination of the mysteries of the occult world. He urges upon the Church its three-fold responsibil- ity: To expose the craft and power of demonic spirits and point the way to deliverance; Spirit-given powers of healing and liberation; To use its To furnish spiritually and intellectually competent leader- ship in the ministry of salvation as the true means of setting men free from all the powers of evil. Merrill
