You are a passionate person. Now that may be the best kept secret in the world, or it may be, at times, uncomfortably obvious. The question is, how are you channel- ing your passions-your strong feelings?

Think of human nature as being made up of two streams, the stream of sinfulness and the stream of life. Just as these two streams flow through the riverbed of your humanity, they have flowed through the lives of God's people from as far back as... Take Cain and Abel for instance. (Where is the line between hatred and murder?) Or Elijah. (How did God deal with his depression?)

The Bible is full of people with strong feelings. Envy. "Why do the ways of the wicked prosper?" laments the psalmist. Then he shows us how he coped. Grati- tude. How do you express thanks? With the freedom and courage of the woman who annointed Jesus with costly perfume?
