Pastor Vernon Serenius was born in Cadillac, Mich- igan. He received his advanced education at Augustana College, Rock Island, Illinois (B.A.); at B Augustana Seminary, Rock Island, Illinois, (B.D.); and subsequently his M.D. from the Lutheran School of Theology, Chicago, Illinois. His first Parish was at Warren, Pennsylvania.
