<note>The Rose of Five Petals describes the path of the ancient hero in mythology who had to pass through five major initiations in order to find salvation. Jesus, the most universal of all the heroes, passed through these same initiations in his birth, baptism, transfiguration, crucifixion, and resurrection, calling each of us to follow in his footsteps. As we pass through those same Levels of Order, Will, Wisdom, Justice, and Love, we will re-enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Union with God will be realized as we recognize who we were created to be-Christed Beings. The journey is one of introspection and change. We will not wear sackcloth and ashes, but will celebrate God's great love and our own divine nature.

The book is laden with stories from East and West and while the message, with its many references to the words of Jesus, will be most familiar to the Christian reader, the wisdom contained herein is for anyone seeking a more fulfilling life.</note>
