Christianity is not the only world religion in which conversion experiences occur, but it does seem to be a unique feature of Christianity that conversion is experienced in terms of answering a call from and entering into a personal relationship with a master who is himself God and man. Do these conversion experiences have anything in common? As an attempt to see if patterns of conversion can be established, this book examines the conversions of Christians from different times and different backgrounds, and then looks back to discover what conclusions, if any, may be drawn.
