Virtually an entire generation abandoned the church in the seventies and eighties in pursuit of "true fulfillment" through all the excesses life has to offer. Now, many of these individuals find themselves spiritually and emotionally spent; their lives haven't worked the way they hoped, and cynical materialism didn't deliver the ultimate happiness they had hoped to find. As a result, many are warily making their way back to the church. They're still skeptical, but (like Nicodemus) they approach Christ in search of answers. They are a generation of seekers. In the message of the Gospel, the church has exactly what these people are looking for. Our challenge is to present this life-changing message to a generation desperate to hear it.
