Guidelines for Urban Church Planting

Cities are the modern frontiers of Christian missions.

As the cities go, our world goes-intellectually, politically, economically, morally, and religiously. Cities over the world must be given top priority in terms of strategy and the assign-ment of resources. In Guidelines for Urban Church Plant-ing, concrete illustrations in the form of urban "models" are drawn from Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Each of the mod-els contains insights that are transferable to mission pro-grams in other parts of the world.

The purpose of this book is to assist North American mission executives and strategists, and field missionaries and church leaders of the Third World in directing their efforts more effectively toward the city.

Dr. Roger S. Greenway is Area Secretary for Latin America for the Christian Reformed Board of Foreign Missions. He also has been a missionary in Ceylon and Mexico.
