In part a sequel to his 1978 Risk Book "Beyond Neutrali-ty", Bluck's new collection of essays draws heavily on the "heat and anger" experiences of the period leading up to the World Council of Churches' Sixth Assembly in Vancouver, where for the first time communication received the same serious reflection by the WCC as other major ecumenical issues. Short essays by Virginia Stem Owens, Michael Traber, K. M. Tharakan, Elizabeth Okwenje and Jan Greven form a second section on contexts for Christian communication.
