USING THE BIBLE IN EVANGELISM
The best tool we have for evangelism is the Bible. It is the source of the faith which we seek to share with other people as we encounter them in the street, in their homes, in hospital, at work, and in church.
Derek Tidball provides a wealth of experience and ideas in Using the Bible in Evangelism. He enables Christians to think more creatively about the way the Bible is used as part of sharing the good news of the gospel with other people.
Some of the areas covered are
the ways in which good news was shared in the Bible
how Christians can follow the example of Jesus, Paul, and the prophets
communicating the message of the Bible in today's society different modes of communication with individuals, groups. and churches.
Using the Bible in Evangelism is a mine of helpful reflection, coupled with a good, down-to-earth, practical agenda for all Christians who want to use the Bible in mission and evangelism.
Derek Tidball is Secretary for Mission and Evangelism at the Baptist Union of Great Britain. He was formerly President of the Baptist Union (1990-1991) and Director of Studies at the London Bible College.
