Book's Detail
Micacle of Therapy

M. Scott Peck began his classic book, The Road Less Traveled, with the sentence, "Life is difficult." Georgie Rodiger has brought all kinds of illumination to this simple, painful statement. She has taken us inside the lives of persons suffering from post-partum depression, marriage-threatening sexual frustrations, an inability to manage young children and older ones, eating disorders, addictions of many kinds, and the untimely death of a child. She has shown us how resistant to change persons are, especially when they are suffering. Even though their lives become enormously difficult, they often become helplessly mired in their old ways of thinking and doing. They violently resist the very change which can bring relief from their suffering.

But this book helps us to understand how positive change can occur. It is an extremely hopeful statement by a person deeply aware of reality. It maintains that God wants us to be healthy, and He will teach us how to discover this health if we will give Him a chance. When you finish this book, you are convinced that you have a choice, that you can move towards wholeness.
