Book's Detail
Jesus weeps: global encounters on our doorstep

North American Christians have begun developing a globar perspective on issues related to the practice of faith in the world. Their efforts have placed them in solidarity with the justice and human rights struggles of the Third World poor. Yet, in so doing, the globalization movement has often overlooked the poor of the First World who are overwhelmingly rooted in the inner cities.

Drawing on his formative experiences as a Latino growing up in a New York barrio, Harold J. Recinos thus refocuses our notions of what mission is and suggests how local churches can immerse themselves in other cultural contexts on their doorsteps.
