Does God play dice ?

John Houghton
Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind." Albert Einstein said it, and in Does God Play Dice? John Houghton makes you believe it.

In this book, written for both the scientist and the lay person, the author points out that there are four attitudes that are currently held regarding the relation-ship between science and faith. First there is the scientific-method-only attitude the scientific method is the only valid way of searching for truth. Second is the faith-only attitude faith is the only valid method in the search for truth. Third is the mutually-exclusive attitude Christianity and science can coexist but they must never intermingle. Last is the science-and-faith attitude science and faith intermingle. John Houghton presents the last attitude as the basis for this imaginative and vivid account of the story of the universe.

"I commend Does God Play Dice? unhesitatingly, and I hope that many will read it carefully."

Sir Robert Boyd, FRS University of London
