Sir Norman Anderson OBE, QC, LL.D, Hon. DD. FBA was formerly Professor of Oriental Laws and Director of the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies in the University of London. Amongst his many writings are books on the law and practice of Islam. He and Lady Anderson live in Cambridge
