Our age is witnessing the end of the modern era and the final breakup of the dualism of spirit and matter that has marked Western culture since the time of classical Greece. This period of crisis is felt particularly keenly in the First World where technological progress has been built on a foundation of rationalism and materialism. Yet our age is also witnessing the dawn of a new era, holistic in character, ecologically-centered, moving toward a new integration of science and spirituality. As citizens of this new era, we can assist in the birth of the dawning culture in our families and in our work.
