The Origin of Thought is the first of Rosmini's philosophical writings to appear in English this century. It forms part of a series of translations dedicated to his most representative works. First published in three volumes in 1830, the book laid the foundation of 'the system of truth' which Rosmini would follow as he strove to provide a framework of objectivity and unity for the whole of human knowledge.
