<note>Evangelism is a topic of renewed concern today in the Presbyterian Church (USA). This collection of ad-dresses and sermons delivered in Octo-ber 1989 at the Symposium on "Evangel ism in the Reformed Tradition represents the studied reflections of leading scholars from Columbia Theolog-ical Seminary, Princeton Theological Seminary, and Union Theological Semi-nary in Richmond. These presentations confront the major issues in reclaiming a Reformed understanding of evangelism.

Unique in form and content, this col-lection provides a benchmark for rethink-ing evangelism in the Presbyterian Church (USA).

ARNOLD B. LOVELL is an ordained Presbyterian minister and teaches evan gelis at Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, Virginia.</note>
