MALCOLM BOYD was ordained an Episcopal priest in 1955. Soon afterward he became a Freedom Rider in the Civil Rights movement, serving as a college chaplain in two interracial parishes. He currently serves as Poet/Writer-in-Residence at the Cathedral Center of Saint Paul in Los Angeles, where he also served as chaplain of the AIDS Commission.
