A revolutionary gospel in a revolutionary age calls for revolutionary teaching that revolutionizes lives," wrote Lois LeBar over 30 years ago.
Long recognized as revolutionary in its field, the classic book Education That Is Christian by Lois E. LeBar gives us a strategic vision for education that will produce Christlike people. "The solution to today's problems is not more glamorous entertain- ments in the church, more trick gadgets, more contests with more expensive prizes," writes LeBar, "but more Christian leaders in whom Christ can work in His own way in the power of the Spirit."
Each chapter is updated with implications for families, churches, and schools by Dr. James E. Plueddemann, chairman of Educational Ministries at Wheaton College, Wheaton, Illinois.
Pastors, youth directors, college and seminary professors, camp counselors, mis- sionaries, Sunday School teachers, directors of Christian education, Christian school teachers, small group Bible study leaders-anyone interested in revitalizing the teach- ing of the Bible-will benefit from Education That Is Christian.
Dr. Lois E. LeBar received her Master of Christian Education degree from Wheaton College and a Ph.D. in Religious Education from New York University. Dr. LeBar for- merly served as professor and chairperson of the Christian Education Department at Wheaton College. Though retired and living in Florida, Dr. LeBar continues to impact the field of Christian education through seminars on teaching the Bible.
