<note>The Christian Vision Series

In keeping with Hillsdale College's tradition of preparing stu- dents for leadership and providing leadership in higher educa- tion, Hillsdale College began the Christian Studies Program to inform students of the basic doctrines and ethical vision of Christianity. Hillsdale's Christian Studies curriculum is designed to present a comprehensive view of the Christian vision as a formative influence on our cultural view of man, nature and the social institutions. To accomplish these goals our Christian Studies Program offers an undergraduate minor made up of courses from a variety of disciplines, appoints dis- tinguished visiting professors, and presents annual convoca- tions to analyze the spiritual and intellectual ideas and values shaping contemporary issues.

We have selected for publication papers from the Hillsdale Col- lege Christian Studies convocation, "A Christian Theory of Personality." The authors are Thomas J. Burke, Stephen R. Briggs, Mary Vander Goot, Paul C. Vitz, Charles Ransford, Merold Westphal, William Kirk Kilpatrick, John S. Reist, Jr., and Mary Stewart Van Leeuwen.</note>
