Dr. John MacArthur, a native Califor nian, pastors Grace Community Church in Panorama City, California. He has traveled in many countries of the world teaching and preaching. Additionally, his extensive radio and tape ministry teaches around the globe.

His books include, Body Dynamics, Found: God's Will, Keys to Spiritual Growth, Liberated for Life, Why I Trust the Bible, Giving: God's Way, The Charismatics: A Doctrinal Perspective, Beware The Pretenders, Kingdom Living Here and Now, Why Believe the Bible, Jesus' Pattern of Prayer, The Family, and The Ultimate Priority.

John studied for the ministry at Talbot Theological Seminary where he graduated with high honors. He served as Student Body President and has taught as an adjunct professor on the faculty. Following in the footsteps of his father, Dr. Jack MacArthur, John represents five successive genera-tions of pastors in his family.

The emphasis of John's ministry is the expository preaching and teaching of God's Word through a verse-by-verse exposition of the Scripture. His studies pay particular attention to the historical and grammatical aspects of each biblical passage and, as a result, are extremely interesting and men-tally stimulating. His sphere of influence has experienced a steady and substantial growth over the years with both youth and adults.

Under the ministry of John MacArthur, Grace Community Church's morn-ing worship services reach 7,000 in attendance, and the evening Fa Bible Hour approaches capacity in the 3,500 seat Worship Center. A Christian Training Seminars, community FLOCKS, and various tra programs, spearhead the plan which equips members of Christ's bod the ministry. Their impact spreads across Southern California and Per around the world.

John shares the ministry with his wife, Patricia, and their four children, Matthew, Marcy, Mark, and Melinda.
