Emerging from the life-and-death struggle of the oppressed poor, a radically new spirituality is being born in Latin American Protestantism today. The contributors trace the distortions that

occurred in the transmission of Protestant theology

from its original sources Luther and Wesley in

particular and they question whether these

traditions have any relevance for Latin America today. The authors also explore the relationship between evangelization and ecumenical vision in the struggle for liberation.
